Welcome to another challenge with Just Add Ink and this week we've a stunning inspiration pic to jumpstart your creativity.
How beautiful does that water look? I could happily just dive right in! Here's my card:
The die-cuts were all coloured using SU markers, the sandcastle made from watercolour card for the texture. I masked off areas as I ink blended the background, adding the sea foam with white gel pen and the whispy clouds using white pastel applied with my finger. There are three layers to the sentiment die and the bucket of sand is raised while everything else is stuck flat.
Materials used:
- card - coastal cabana, basic black, basic white, watercolour
- distress inks - salvaged patina, prize ribbon
- SU markers - real red, early espresso, Bermuda bay, Sahara sand, petal pink, crushed curry, crumb cake, smoky slate
- other - white gel pen, blending brushes, Big Shot, 1/2" circle punch, craft foam, dimensionals, tweezers, masking paper, crumb cake ink, Life's a Beach die (Creative Expressions), Sandcastle Builder die-namics (MFT), Flying Gulls die (Frantic Stamper), titanium white artists' pastel (Pan Pastel)
My team mates have more creations to inspire you and of course we'd love to see your project in our gallery.
Thanks for calling in.
Cheers
Kerry
