Smells So Good

DD19 is coming home tomorrow for Easter and as a special treat for us all DD12 decided to bake up a storm today! She is making my favourite NZ cookies - Ginger Crunch - plus DD19 and DH's favourite - Belgium Biscuits - as well as stewing some apples, so the place smells DIVINE right now! Mmmmmmmm, spices! ginger, cinnamon, mixed spice ..... wow, wish you could all be here to share this delightful aroma!

I thought I would make a card for DD19, just for fun, and wanted to use a sentiment from SU's Morning Cup set. My elder daughter is most definitely NOT a morning person and when she does have to (begrudgingly) get up for an early lecture (or to fly home!) she copes a whole lot better with a good cup of coffee inside her. Here's her card:

And of course DD12 deserved something special too for her baking efforts (she can't eat them herself), so I "whipped up" a very similar card for her:

I am such a lucky mum to have two gorgeous and wonderful daughters!

Non SU materials used: Martha Stewart punches, Kaiser giant pearl brads

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy St Paddy's

Happy St Patrick's Day to all the Irish out there!

DD18 is rather fond of a Guinness and has a fav Irish pub near to uni, so as it's her first year where she's officially allowed to celebrate with a drink, I thought I'd make her a special little St Paddy's something.

So anyways, I made a milk carton treat - one of the big ones from Becky Roberts' tutorial - with my first Irish owl. He's a cute little chappie in his tall hat! Inside the milk carton are lollies - green ones, of course.

Thanks for stopping by and "Top o' the Morning To You"!

Cheers

Secret Santa

Our SU team has a Christmas dinner every year and we all get allocated a person to be Secret Santa for. We don't spend a lot on gifts, but most of the fun is in the packaging and wrapping and making the present look totally gorgeous.

I was SS for Rachel and these are the gifts I made for her:

Here are the packets individually:

The decorated glass bauble from yesterday's post

A box containing gift tags

A container of Smooch Spritz (looks like a Toblerone!)

Some Xmas ribbons in a small window box

A mini bag in a box with shimmer paint inside

Three spray bottles to use for water or shimmer paint

Tubes filled with antique brads, brads and label holders from hodgepodge hardware and Christmas coloured jelly beans and I made a box to store them in.

Phew! So many photos - I'll have to come back another day to show you the beautiful things my SS gave me!

Have a great day.

Cheers
