Baked With Love

The Time Out challenge for this fortnight held great appeal so I couldn't resist having a play with dies, stencils and pastels. 

Here's my offering:

Other than the yellow postage frame, everything else was cut from white card and coloured with inks. As usual, there are multiple layers to my sentiment die-cut.

• other - blending brushes, Big Shot, foam squares, sheer ribbon, stitched rectangle die

JAI #630 - Just Add Inspiration

This week at Just Add Ink we have a wonderful inspiration board to help get your creative juices flowing. 

Soooooo many possibilities! 

I took inspiration from the colours, patterns (polka dots, gingham), enamel jug and food/baking themes for a shabby/vintage card.

I did a little layering, fussy cutting another cupcake, cup and flowers and leaving the jug in the background (not that you can really tell in this photo, lol). 

Then I figured if I was going to give this card with a gift of home baked goodies, I'd need a gift bag to go with it, right?

Et, voila! 

My shabby heart was very happy - and now my shabby tummy was very hungry! LOL! Tea and cupcakes, anyone?

Materials used:

• stamps - Create Happiness - Elements (Stamperia)
• card - crumb cake, basic white, garden green, Sweet Treats junk journal papers (The Journal Boat)
• other - vintage buttons (SU retired), linen thread, sewing machine, sponge dauber, distressing tool, craft foam, crochet trim lace (SU retired), smoky slate and crumb cake inks (SU), Dimensionals

Sweet Treats - CAS on Friday Challenge #205

Welcome to another clean and simple challenge.

Our theme for challenge #205 is FOOD; add something sweet to your card.

Here's my offering:

I did some very simple masking to get this pile of chocolate-coated yumminess, colouring them with alcohol markers. You may notice there are exactly seven strawberries - one for each day that ends in 'y'. 😉😋 I also shaped the image a little to curve the edges and give the fruit some roundness.

Materials used:

• stamps - Love and Chocolate (Newton's Nook Designs)
• card - whisper white
• Copic colours - R29, R37, R30, E15, E39, E29, C0, C2, C4
• SU Blendabilities - granny apple green light and dark
• other - stitched rectangle die, Big Shot, blending brushes, craft foam, post-it notes, Stamparatus, Dimensionals
