It's time for another challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog, where I'm Guest Designer for this month.
This week we're challenging you to PICK A NUMBER.
Of course you can interpret that in many ways, but I chose to pick one specific number because my youngest turned a quarter of a century old just a couple of weeks ago. Naturally a card was needed! Here it is:
I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix 'Celebrate' dies for the cake and streamers, Tim's 'Holiday Script' stencil for my background (cos you can guarantee Christmas stuff has the number 25 somewhere, lol) and distress inks. The 'Postale' die set was used for the small number 'candles' and a Label Sticker for the sentiment.
The same products were used to add a small decoration to the edge of the envelope:
Materials used:
- card - lemon lime twist, basic white, vellum, lemon lolly, coastal cabana, watercolour
- dies - Celebrate, Postale (both Tim Holtz/Sizzix)
- stencil - Holiday Script (Tim Holtz)
- distress inks - salvaged patina, peacock feathers, squeezed lemonade, ripe persimmon, twisted citron, weathered wood, hickory smoke, antique linen, vintage photo
- other - Big Shot, blending brushes, foam mounting tape, Dimensionals, sponge dauber, envelope, mini rhinestones

I hope your daughter loved her card. It is a very elegant cake. I always forget to use vellum to help mute some of the background- you have used it perfectly. TFS
