Sepia Sponged Snow

It's Day 2 here at our Serendipity Stamp Camp and today one of my projects with the ladies is sponging techniques. I do love getting my fingers all inky!!!

We'll be practicing a few different techniques and then this is the project card we will make:

Materials used:

  • stamps - Serene Silhouettes, Christmas Messages
  • card - naturals ivory, very vanilla, cherry cobbler
  • other - sponge, sponge dauber, circle punch, post-it note

Now as luck would have it, the challenge over at the SUO (Stampin' Up! Only) blog this week is Snow, so I am entering my card into that challenge.

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be back with more stamp camp project updates real soon!

Cheers
Kez

Edited to add: My card was picked in the Top 3 at SUO challenges! Many thanks ladies, that's an honour.

Cuteness Factor 10!

Quite a few of my lovely ladies are doggie people so when I saw the die I have used on the first of this month's Christmas stamp-a-stack cards, I knew I HAD to have it! My thoughts immediately went to one of the sentiments from the Christmas Messages set and voila! our card was born.

Warning though: just make sure there are no little people around who have been asking for a puppy, cos if they see this you are NEVER going to get any peace!

Materials used:
  • stamps - Christmas Messages
  • card - cherry cobbler, creamy caramel, garden green, basic black, whisper white
  • other - dimensionals, sponge daubers
  • non SU - Cottage Cutz Santa Puppy die set

OH MY GOODNESS! don't those eyes just make you want to melt? Cuteness factor 10!!!!!

Our second card is a vintage-y sepia toned card with a dash of red (cherry cobbler of course!) using a couple of new goodies from the holiday catalogue. The tag was made in MDS and cut by hand. Take a lookie:

Materials used:
  • stamps - music wheel, Santa's List, Free for you from us (MDS)
  • card - very vanilla, cherry cobbler, soft suede, confetti cream
  • other - cherry cobbler stitched edge grosgrain ribbon, cherry cobbler bakers twine, dimensionals, distressing tool, sponge dauber, 1/16" circle punch

This is the last of our Christmas card stamp-a-stacks and I will miss them - they do put me in the Christmas mood!

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Oh What Fun!

Our September Christmas stamp-a-stack cards showcase my fav new Xmas sentiment set, Christmas Messages. And just for my dear SIL, who loves Greeting Card Kids, we will be using that for our first card which also features some of the new Winter Frost dsp from the Holiday catalogue. I'm really pleased with how this one turned out - the soft colours really appeal to me.

Materials used:
  • stamps - Greeting Card Kids (retired), Christmas Messages
  • card - pool party, smoky slate, whisper white, Winter Frost dsp
  • inks - coastal cabana, smoky slate, blush blossom, so saffron, pear pizzazz, Bermuda bay
  • other - dimensionals, blender pen, Big Shot, Sahara sand marker
  • non SU - corner rounder punch, snowflake embossing folder, circle and scallop circle dies

When I first saw the papers we are using for the next card I was immediately struck by two things: (1) the holly pattern would fit perfectly with this sentiment stamp, and (2) the colours in the paper match SU colours always artichoke and bravo burgundy absolutely perfectly. Given that, I couldn't possibly resist using it, now could I? Here's our second SAS card for this month:

And as my wonderful new magnetic platform and the envelope liner dies arrived the day I was cutting up, I just HAD to make matching envelopes!

Materials used:
  • stamps - Christmas Messages, Bells and Boughs
  • card - always artichoke, whisper white, bravo burgundy
  • other - chalk talk dies, Big Shot, dimensionals, sponge daubers, envelope liner die
  • non SU - Farmhouse Paper Co dsp Norland, burgundy pearl brads, holly punch

Thanks for dropping by.

Cheers
