There are, however, two "ethical rules" of CASEing:
- acknowledge me as the original artist - whether you copy my work exactly, or use some aspects of it as inspiration (this is just plain good manners)
- never enter my work under your own name for challenges or publication (cos that would be stealing)
Let me give you an example with this card:
The idea for the nurse owl I got from someone else, and I named them in my original blog entry as being my inspiration. The doctor with the stethoscope I thought up all by myself. A few people have CASEd my idea, some of them acknowledged me (many thanks, much appreciated) with a link to my blog (even more appreciated) but unfortunately some of them didn't (NOT so much appreciated).
So folks, CASE away and thank you for the compliment - just remember the two golden rules and we'll all be happy.
Cheers
Kez

Hey Kez, you couldn't have put that any better if you tried!! Mind if I CASE your entire blogpost, lol?
It is flattering when people are inspired to copy (or part thereof), and like you, I encourage it. Creadit where credit is due though, eh?!
Paula I was thinking exactly the same thing "beautifully said and can I CASE it for my blog" lol. It is a timely reminder though, whether it's my work or someone elses give credit to the creative mind behind the original idea.
Thanks for the (!! refresher on CASE rules. You have inspired so many it's ridiculous and credit shd be given always. It is the way of the great craftine community. Sadly I read the other day that some are removing the watermark fm crafters work and claiming it as their own!! DEGENERATES!! Vigilence (upon the HOUNDS) and kindness (with CASE'ing credit) isthe way to go. ooxx
I love this card. I work at a Hospital and this would be a cute card to make for Nursing Week!!
