Mojo Autumn

With Autumn well under way here in Oz, I decided to use that as my theme for a Mojo Monday challenge entry. Here's the sketch we have to play with this week:

I love the colours in the new Autumn Traditions designer papers and added in a couple of extras to suit the words in the poem ('russets, reds and golds'). I've used the Leaves No. 2 die, which I just HAD to get after seeing some gorgeous work by fellow team mates - you know who you are!

Here's my card:

I scored some veins on the leaves then crumpled them up and sponged them to make them look a bit more as if they've just fallen off a tree. The poem is one I wrote many, many years ago. My card ended up being rather a large one, but as it probably won't get mailed to anyone it won't matter too much!

Hope you like it; thanks for calling in today.

Cheers

April classes

Autumn has always been my favourite time of the year; the heat is over (supposedly! No one told Mother Nature this year though!) but it's not too cold and I adore the colours of the leaves on deciduous trees. It's so beautiful in the mountains in Autumn, but I do miss Christchurch the most then ...

The Autumn Traditions designer papers and Autumn Days stamp set appealed to me in a nanosecond when I first saw them in the US catalogue, so they were high on my list of must haves for my demo pre-order! And the first thing I used them for was to create an easel calendar card with drawer attached to sit on my desk.

Gorjamalicious! Well, of course I could not stop at one! More new goodies to try - can't have them feeling left out, can I?! So I made another using the Cottage Wall papers and Vintage Vogue stamp set. Here tis:

The little handle for the drawer I found at my LSS; isn't it just too perfect?!

My regular ladies love these too - well, actually, they haven't seen the purple one yet and I know they'll just be SWOONING cos they all luuurrve purple! - and we will be making them in class this month. If you are interested, send me an email and I'll give you details, or I can come to you!

Cheers
