It's time for another challenge with Just Add Ink and this time there's a sketch for us to play with.
I really wanted to use some Stamperia goodies and as I was browsing through them, found a sentiment I absolutely loved and that gave me the perfect starting point for my card. You'll understand in a sec:
Isn't that saying fabulous? You can see now why I've got lions as my focal point and used the setting sun as my circle element - albeit behind the focal image rather than in front. I did juggle the sketch a bit, but all the elements are there. I used distress oxide sprays in warm tones to create the sunset and added texture by stamping cracks and splotches - hopefully they make you think of the dry, hot savana.
Materials used:
- stamps - Create Happiness - Elements (Stamperia)
- card - early espresso, basic white (SU), biscuit (Kaisercraft), watercolour, Savana Collectables (Stamperia)
- distress oxide inks - wild honey, ripe persimmon, fired brick, aged mahogany, rusty hinge
- other Tim Holtz products - ground espresso archival ink, Moon mask, water spritzer
- other - sponge daubers, Dimensionals, craft foam, computer and printer, heat tool
